A Year Of Motherhood: Monthly Link Up

Where did March go?

We are crawling towards the end of term.  I am looking forward to some slower mornings and cruisy afternoons.

Another end of month means a link up for A Year of Motherhood

Thank you for linking up last month.  It was great to see how motherhood can look so similar no matter where we are or how isolated we sometimes may feel.

We would love to see your link up again this month.  Either here, or over at Tahnee's.

And don't forget if you are on instagram to hashtag #ayearofmotherhood.

I'm looking forward to seeing how your month of motherhood has gone.

Taking The Leap - I Am A Photographer!

My hands are sweaty and I can feel my heart as I type this.

But it is time.  I know it.  I can feel it.

An unknown is ahead of me.  But it feels right.  The same unknown I felt when I left New Zealand nine years ago.  A feeling of not knowing what was to come for me, but trusting that it was the right thing.  Trusting that whatever was to happen would be life changing.

When I realised that I was going to extend my photography from capturing the little moments of my own children, to sharing this with others, my plan was in place.

The significance of this date is not co-incidental. Today is our youngest child's third birthday.  My children are growing at a fast rate.  I will have two at school next year.

Today also marks a time when I am giving back to myself, by pursuing my own goals, my own dreams and living that life that I always knew I could.

So, today, I am announcing that I am a Photographer!

I would love it if you could visit my website and keep up with what I do on facebook, or you could follow me on Bloglovin.

I just need to massively thank all of those people who, without their help, I would not have been able to do this.  I thank you with all my heart.

 "A portrait of my loves, once a week, every week in 2014"

Ruby:: Warming her back in the morning sun before school.
Jenson:: That cheeky grin, he was spinning me fast on the spinning thing at the park.  I don't know how the kids do it, I felt quite awful after that!
Mila::  Playing with her big sisters makeup.
Johnny::  He things he is starting to look older in photo's.  I think he is as handsome as ever.

 "A portrait of my loves once a week, every week in 2014"

Ruby, Jenson and Mila::  It was their first ride on a tram.  The city is a captivating place.
Johnny::  Personally, the pocket hold gets a little irritating for me.  Daddy doesn't mind so much.

In These Small Hours - The Blue Series

 This past week I've been inspired by Xanthe and the color//colour project.  It really is a wonderful thing, when you start looking for colours, just how much you notice it.  Quite like anything really.

So, no doubt, you would have noticed there is a lot of blue up there.  I didn't quite realise just how much blue we have in our wardrobes!

1-2::  Lego!  Of course.  It seems some of us can't get enough!
3::  She likes her stripy jumpers.
4::  We were out of wipes for a little while.  Life just seemed harder!
5::  Blue skies and drying sheets
6::  Denim and salts
7::  Mini denim
8::  Taking a breather in the hot gymnastics hall
9::  Watching the girls do the beam, and finding their own make-shift beam
10-12:: Around town
13::  Would you imagine that this simple cup of water caused the meltdown of all meltdowns.
14::  My man, eating a bacon and egg sandwich.  One of the ways I won his heart.
15-23::  From our day in the city

10 on 10:: March

Monday was a public holiday here.  Some dedicated family time was on the cards.  No routines, no washing, no dishes, no devices, no computers, no barrow loads of  metal to move.

No where to be, but together.  Just all of us together, with family, to experience the city.

Just us and the city, and all of her colour, together.

(Ok, us and the other 40,000 people, because we decided to go when Moomba was on!)
